“ An anniversary dinner for 2 in this intimate Italian eatery in Chelsea. We just wanted something familiar so went for the Calamari (the medium was plenty enough for us both). Very tasty and as it should be. For mains we had Pappardelle Al Cinghiale and the Carbonara. Plenty in each portion a spot taste wise. Couldn’t fault it. Very satisfying indeed. Round things off with some pastries and we were full. I would suggest making a reservation as it seemed busy. Recommended if you are going to be in Chelsea. ”

“ A very popular spot with the locals. The vibe is very Italian - it’s busy, it’s loud, it’s vibrant (all in a good way). Great service, there’s a lot of staff around, you get plenty of attention. The food was also very very good! Highly recommend the boar ragu pappardelle. The seafood risotto was a bit too “fishy” for me (and I usually like fish / shellfish..). Lovely panacotta and tiramisu for dessert. ”

“ La Famiglia has been one of my favourite restaurants in London for the good part of the last 20 years. I used to live close by and would visit more often than I do now. The food is always good, the service generally quick and the place is always buzzing, especially after Chelsea games. The quality might have gone down a little bit over the years but it is still a very solid choice in London, particularly in the chelsea area. The meat and Pasta dishes are always spot on and the Mozzarella in Carrozza is the best I've ever had. ”

“ A very very popular Italian restaurant with a huge local clientele. It’s busy, atmospheric & indulging with a full team of long standing staff that ensure you are very well ‘a bit too well’ looked after. We were a group in the front part of this restaurant and found the noise was incredibly loud & buzzy. The food had mixed reviews according to what we each ate; ample portions, a dish we had was a tad too salted & another had a slightly sour tone. Overall the food experience was a good one, pasta is all freshly made, good quality ingredients, presented as Italian food should be presented. Service was thorough & intense, lots of interaction with guests, what ever you needed you had in abundance, with style & masses of expression. I would give this a three & three quarters star, hence a 4 star on this occasion. We would definitely return. ”

“ La famiglia has been a family favourite of ours for over 25 years. From one of my first visits where my mother-in-law pointed at some guests enquiring nervously whether the establishment was safe? She was referring to Ronnie Wood and his leather clad mates! To our more recent visits you are always assured of a family welcome even though it was touch-and-go arriving with three kiddies’ buggies. The food definitely used to be real authentic Italian but remains passable. The change is certainly noticeable. Good value all round especially for a Sunday family lunch. ”
